47 Teams Praying One Hour a Week for Canada
Knee Soldier Teams are small groups of 3–4 believers committed to praying for the revival of Canada — one hour a week, every week. Here is why it matters and how you can join.
What would happen if hundreds of small teams across Canada committed to praying for their nation — consistently, faithfully, one hour a week?
That is the vision behind the Knee Soldier Teams, an initiative of the Canada House of Prayer (CanHOP). And it is already happening.
Who Are the Knee Soldiers?
Knee Soldiers are ordinary brothers and sisters with an extraordinary God. They are not professional intercessors. They are not full-time ministry workers. They are believers who have decided that praying for Canada is not optional — it is essential.
Each team is made up of 3 to 4 people. They commit to praying together for one hour per week — at a time and location of their choosing, online or in person. That is it. Simple. Sustainable. Powerful.
What Do They Pray For?
While each team follows the leading of the Holy Spirit, CanHOP provides regular prayer highlights and focus areas. These include:
- The Canadian government and federal leadership
- Injustices in Canadian society
- The Canadian Church — awakening and revival
- Repentance over national matters that are against God's truth
- Local communities — saturation with the Gospel, protection against rising crime
- Canadian families and school systems, including colleges and universities
- Protection against infiltration of radical ideologies
- The Canadian young generation
This is not a rigid programme. It is a Spirit-led prayer movement. The list above is a starting point. Teams are encouraged to listen, respond, and follow where God leads.

Staying Connected: The Prayer Updates Group
Once your team is registered, you will be added to a WhatsApp group where CanHOP shares regular prayer highlights and focus areas. This is an admin-posting-only group — you receive curated prayer updates and guidance without the noise of group chat conversations. It keeps your team aligned with the broader prayer movement across Canada, ensuring your intercession is coordinated with hundreds of other Knee Soldiers.

How to Start a Knee Soldier Team
Starting a team is straightforward. Here is the process:
Gather your team — find 2 or 3 others who share a heart for praying for Canada
Sign up — register your team through the Kingdom Builders Network
Set a schedule — choose a consistent time and format (online or in person)
Choose a Connector — one person who links your team to CanHOP for updates and support
Receive support — get regular prayer highlights, training, and support huddles
Commit to prayer — show up faithfully, one hour a week, and watch what God does
Why One Hour Matters
One hour a week does not sound like much. But multiply it by 47 teams and you have nearly 50 hours of focused, united prayer rising over Canada every single week. That is over 2,500 hours a year.
And the movement is growing. New teams are forming. New regions are being covered. The vision is not 47 teams — it is hundreds. Imagine every province, every major city, every region covered by small teams of believers who refuse to stop praying.
We believe that God is at work in Canada. We trust that the Spirit of God will continue to guide us and reveal God's prayer agenda to us as we follow Him closely as His prayer army.
